Belvedere Palace

The magnificent gardens and imperial furnishings of this baroque castle and erstwhile summer residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy are a glory to behold and true gems of Viennese history.
The Belvedere’s two castles (Upper and Lower Belvedere) house one of Austria’s most valuable art collections – including major works by Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, and Oskar Kokoschka.

A COLOSSAL KLIMT COLLECTION AGAINST A BAROQUE GARDEN BACKDROP

Today the Belvedere is home not only to Austrian art spanning from the Middle Ages to the present, but also to the world’s largest collection of paintings by Klimt, including famous works such as “The Kiss” and “Judith.”
