Hotel Sacher Vienna is fully accessible. With a ground-level entrance, wheelchair-friendly rooms and elevators throughout the hotel, we ensure a carefree stay for guests with limited mobility.

Smoking is not permitted in any indoor areas, including rooms and suites of the Hotel Sacher Vienna. However, we are happy to reserve a room with a private balcony where smoking is allowed. Outdoor smoking areas are also available.

Founded in 1876 by Eduard Sacher, the son of the creator of the Original Sacher-Torte, Hotel Sacher soon became the top address for Viennese high society. Under the renowned Anna Sacher, it evolved into a meeting place for nobility, artists and businessmen.

Since 1934, the hotel has been carefully managed by the Gürtler family – privately owned and committed to tradition, excellence and authenticity.

There is no formal dress code. However, we kindly ask guests to dress in a manner appropriate to the elegant atmosphere of our hotel. In our restaurants such as the Rote Bar and Grüne Bar, we recommend smart casual to elegant attire.

Our cancellation policy at hotel Sacher Vienna is flexible and transparent:

· Generally, free cancellation is possible until 12:00 PM on the day of arrival.

· Different conditions apply during special events (e.g., New Year’s Eve or the Vienna Opera Ball) or for non-refundable offers. These are clearly stated during the booking process.

A deposit is required exclusively for prepaid bookings or during special periods with deviating cancellation conditions. In all other cases, no advance payment is necessary. This information is clearly indicated during the booking process.

For our guests with special mobility needs, we have a spacious, barrier-free Junior Suite available. Please inform us in advance so that we can prepare your stay in the best possible way.

Children are very welcome in Hotel Sacher Vienna. When staying in a Junior Suite or higher category (subject to room size), children stay free on an extra bed. Please mention this request when booking. We also offer our “Petit Sacher” package, a child-friendly all-round service.

Children up to 16 years stay without charge in the same room as their parents. Additional beds are available from the Junior Suite upwards.
