Christmas markets in Vienna

Whether traditional, modern or romantic – at Christmas time, Christmas markets attract numerous visitors to Vienna. In addition to the famous Advent market on Rathausplatz, the so-called “Christkindl markets” in Austria in front of Schönbrunn Palace, the Belvedere, on Spittelberg or in downtown Vienna transport visitors to magical Christmas worlds.

Rathausplatz

Marvel at the large Advent market on Rathausplatz with its magnificent Christmas decorations, the largest Christmas tree in the country, the Christkindl workshop, the ice skating rink, children's attractions and over 150 huts. The many facets of the Christmas market attract numerous visitors every year to stroll, eat, do handicrafts and immerse young and old in a magical Christmas world.

Schloss Schönbrunn

Explore around 80 Christmas-decorated stalls with high-quality works of art and delicious Austrian delicacies in front of the unique setting of Schönbrunn Palace. Enjoy a hot punch and a hearty baked potato with a view of the magnificent Christmas tree and listen to the festive sounds of the Advent concerts.
