Each year, a renowned artist designs the famous wooden box of the Original Sacher-Torte. In 2026, the internationally acclaimed contemporary artist KAWS was invited to create this year’s edition. His iconic “COMPANION” adorns the 18th Sacher Artists’ Collection. Limited to 1,000 pieces, the wooden boxes feature his painting SPOKE TOO SOON. From May 19, 2026, the product will be available at a price of 80 euros (size III, excl. shipping) via the Sacher online shop as well as at Sacher locations in Vienna, Salzburg and Seefeld-Tyrol. Total proceeds of 80,000 euros will be donated to NF Kinder, supporting children affected by the tumor disease neurofibromatosis through funding research and providing assistance to affected families.

The Hotel Sacher Vienna opened its doors in 1876 and celebrates its 150th anniversary in 2026. The anniversary year begins with the presentation of the sculptures “Step Big” and “Dancer” by renowned artist Erwin Wurm in front of the hotel entrance. On 26 March 2026, these were ceremoniously unveiled in the presence of the artist, Vienna’s Mayor Dr. Michael Ludwig and the owner family. They remain on display there throughout the anniversary year.

The third edition of The World’s 50 Best Hotels has been announced at a captivating awards ceremony in London and features industry-defining hotels spanning six continents worldwide.

The limited edition of 1,000 pieces of the Original Sacher-Torte will feature the bold and colorful artwork “Crazy Monster Mushrooms” (2024) by internationally renowned artist Katherine Bernhardt on the wooden box of the iconic cake. The highly sought after collectible edition will be available to purchase for € 77 each, with the total proceeds of € 77,000 benefitting the “Heart and Tummy” initiative by CAPE 10, which provides shared, warm lunches for children at risk of poverty in Vienna. Following previous collaborations with artists such as Robert Longo, Georg Baselitz and Gottfried Helnwein, Sacher continues its tradition of combining art and social impact with this latest collaboration.

The 16th edition of the Sacher Artists’ Collection is designed by the internationally renowned artist Robert Longo, following artists like Baselitz, Helnwein, Nitsch, and many others. Sacher is delighted to have this exceptional artist contribute to a good cause. The strictly limited edition of 1000 pieces, priced at 75 euros each, will be sold exclusively for charitable purposes. The total proceeds of 75,000 euros will be donated to "Neurolentech" a company that focuses on research to identify new treatments for autism and epilepsy.

Georg Baselitz, currently on view with his exhibitions “Naked Masters” in the Art History Museum and “100 Drawings” in the Albertina in Vienna, creates his eagle for the Artists‘ Collection of the Original Sacher-Torte. This year, once again, the proceeds from the sale of the cake in its famous wooden box will support young people on their life path.

Feminine, visually strong and international is the 14th edition of the Sacher Artists' Collection. The unique wooden box of the world's most famous cake was designed by the internationally renowned artist Sarah Morris. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the Sacher Artists' Collection, which is limited to 1,000 pieces, will go to the BONsurprise association.

To kick off the first summer season, Badrutt's Palace Hotel presented a particularly enjoyable cooperation at Paradiso: Until September 12, 2022, their team will serve guests the world-famous Original Sacher-Torte and other homemade specialties from Hotel Sacher Vienna - from apple strudel to punch dessert.

Chef Pâtissière of Hotel Sacher Vienna was able to win season four of “Das große Backen – Die Profis” together with her team partner. Natalie Stebbing and Michael Klein fought their way to the top with their extraordinary creations and enchanted the jury of the TV show on SAT.1 with fantastic desserts.

Kera Till, one of the most popular international illustrators for fashion and lifestyle, has created a new design for the Original Sacher-Torte for Mother's Day. The special edition is strictly limited and only available for a short time in all Sacher establishments and worldwide on shop.sacher.com.
