ZOOM Children’s Museum ... and all senses come into play
“Hands on, minds on, hearts on!” At ZOOM Children’s Museum, children are welcome to ask questions, to touch and to feel, to examine and to play to their hearts’ desire. At ZOOM, children explore the world with all their senses, on their own or in small teams. In their own individual way, they zoom in on objects and situations and, by doing so, find out about themselves and discover their own skills and abilities. In the exhibitions and workshops, the children playfully acquire sensory impressions and emotive experiences, which set learning processes into motion and allow them to acquire new knowledge. In contrast to museums for adults, children are invited to touch and try out exhibits and, through the sense of touch, take possession of the world. Play comes first at ZOOM and makes learning an individual and creative process.

Schönbrunn Maze, Labyrinth & Labyrinthikon
One upon a time only the imperial family was allowed to walk in the Schönbrunn Maze: now it´s fun for everyone! When you reach the end, there´s a platform from which you can watch the other " a mazed" visitors. Discovering the labyrinth is a real challenge: with a playground equipment it´s great fun for the whole family. The “Wiener Prater” Fairground and Park
The Vienna Prater is entertaining and exciting, but it can also be relaxing and quiet. One part of it contains attractions ranging from the well-known nostalgic Ferris wheel and merry-go-rounds to an ultra-modern roller coaster. In the other area, known as the “Green Prater,” there are endless meadows to lounge in, shady trees, and quiet paths. The motto is to have fun and enjoy yourself ... Children especially will enjoy the merry-go-rounds, Punch and Judy shows, the old Viennese grotto train and so much more. This varied entertainment program is complemented by more than sixty cafés and restaurants, ice cream and snack stands. The Viennese call this part of the Prater the "Wurstelprater" (literally: Clown’s Prater, the equivalent of an old-fashioned amusement park).

The “Schmetterlingshaus” Tropical Butterfly House
Directly in the centre of Vienna is the "Schmetterlinghaus" the tropical butterfly house, found inside one of the worlds most magnificent "Jugendstil" (Art Deco) greenhouses.
Come and be transported into a magical world which used to be the private domain of Kaiser Franz Josef and now houses the gentlest and most colourful of creatures – hundreds of live, free-flying, tropical butterflies.

The "Haus des Meeres" Aqua Terra Zoo
More than 6,000 animals are housed in an area of 3,500 m2. In the section for terrarium animals you can see crocodiles, poisonous snakes, constrictor snakes and saurians. The main attractions of the tropical seawater section are the huge fish tanks with sharks, sea turtles, many different types of coral, as well as fish in the most amazing colours. A central attraction of the tropical freshwater area is the aquarium containing the lethal piranhas. The main sensation however is the new tropical house and the new crocodile park with free-flying birds and free-running monkeys.

The “Schatzkammer” Treasury
The objects kept in the Treasury are of the highest order and reflect more than a thousand years of European history. Worth mentioning in particular are the insignia and jewels of the Holy Roman Empire, including the imperial crown. They represent the most important collection of medieval royal objects still in existence today.
