„Artists' Collection 2011“

LIMITED EDITION

The artist and professor Christian Ludwig Attersee designs the new and limited “Artists’ Collection” edition. The net proceeds will entirely be donated to good causes.

It was in 2009 when Elisabeth Gürtler introduced the “Artists’ Collection”. 1,000 of the Original Sacher Torte chocolate cake packed in the traditional wooden boxes, which are especially designed by well-known artists. This year the designer for the unique packaging concept will be Christian Ludwig Attersee.

The “Artists’ Collection” by Attersee will only be available for a short time. Buy an Original Sacher Torte in one of the limited wooden boxes designed by one of the best-known contemporary artists and support Professor Christian Ludwig Attersee’s and Sacher Hotel’s charity projects: The SOS Children’s Village Vienna-Floridsdorf and the Viennese Animal Welfare Organisation.

The project’s organisers are proud to present Prof. Christian Ludwig Attersee as this year’s designer. Since his first exhibitions in the 60’s Attersee has had a great influence on the art world and became one of the founders of the “New Austrian Painting”. He is considered to be one of Europe’s most important contemporary representatives for representational painting. Attersee is not only a painter, but also a musician, writer, object artist, designer, set designer and film maker.

SOS Children’s Village Wien – outpatient clinic for children and paediatric psychiatry

In the 21st district the SOS-Children’s Village-families and living groups live next-door to Viennese families. A family’s counselling centre and an outpatient clinic for children and paediatric psychiatry is located nearby. Speech therapy, ergo therapy, physiotherapy and psychotherapy help to shape a positive future for children.

Viennese Animal Welfare Organisation

Introduced in 1846 the Viennese Animal Welfare Organisation supports from its headquarters in Vösendorf the active and ideational protection of animals. 1,500 animals are looked after and fed daily. Even abandoned and injured wild animals find refuge at the Viennese Animal Welfare Organisation.
