From January 20 until March 4, 2012 the “Vienna Ice World” takes place on the Rathausplatz in front of Vienna’s City Hall for the 17^th time.

A ice landscape of totally 7.000 m² is transformed into a winter wonderland which fascinates people of all ages.

On December 31, Vienna's ball season starts off with the Emperor’s Ball at the Imperial Palace. Dance until March on one of the over 300 balls in the city of music and let waltz rhythm captivate you.

On Monday, February 20th 2012, an atmospheric carnival ball themed «From Rio to Vienna – From Carnival to Gschnas» will take place at the Wiener Konzerthaus. Thus a longtime tradition of carnivals or house-balls at the Wiener Konzerthaus becomes revitalised.
