Rozet & Fischmeister; that venerable establishment on Vienna’s Kohlmarkt and former imperial and royal purveyor, is regarded as one of the best names in the finest silverware, historic jewellery and modern creations.
The history of Rozet & Fischmeister can be traced back to the 18th century. Since 1975 Georg Fischmeister is running the company and with his son Franz entering, it’s the 6th generation of Fischmeisters in the business. “Rozet & Fischmeister stands for quality and tradition. Being the youngest generation so far it’s a big step for me but at the same time very exciting to continue the family legacy.” so Franz Fischmeister.
With the beginning of 2016 Franz Fischmeister took over the leading part of the company, while his father will still hold an advisory role. “The responsibility that comes with the business is quite challenging.” so Franz Fischmeister. “But the challenges of today are the successes of tomorrow.”
With his exquisite, very contemporary gemstone creations Franz Fischmeister builds on the family’s tradition. After years of apprentice at brands such as Cartier and Asprey in London Franz Fischmeister returns to his hometown Vienna. The gemologist completed his master craftsman’s diploma at the renowned jeweler Seitner in Vienna. “Through my experience in traditional houses as Cartier and Asprey, I know how important it is to preserve the tradition in my profession”, so Franz Fischmeister. With his unique stylistic idiom the jeweler has already won multiple awards, such as the Diva Diamond Award for two years in a row. Especially his rings gain more and more attention and popularity, whereas he’s passionate about rare and precious color gemstones.
