The Sun Never Sets on Arts and Culture

Long Night of the Museums

In October, the Austrian Museums and galleries turn night into day as part of the “ORF Long Night of Museums” and open their doors to night owls interested in culture from 6:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.. More than 700 participating cultural institutions throughout Austria, 135 of which are in Vienna, attract over 200,000 visitors with exhibitions, guided tours and a supporting program of exciting events and readings. Among the most popular museums are the Albertina Museum, the Natural History Museum, and the Imperial Treasury of Vienna, while the Long Night of Museums offers something to suit every taste, from the Chocolate Museum to the pathological-anatomical collection in the Narrenturm.

A Ticket For All of Austria

During the ORF Long Night of Museums, interested visitors can visit all participating museums and exhibitions with just one ticket, which is also valid for public transport and shuttle buses to selected museums. Especially in Vienna, we recommend that you create a museum route in advance so that you can visit all the highlights,

exhibitions and events you want. For children, the Long Night of the Museums offers an exciting program of activities as well. Our concierge team will be happy to help you design your personal museum route.
