Enjoy a great start to a perfect day with our overwhelming breakfast buffet. Take time out for yourself, relax and build up some energy reserves for a day in wonderful Vienna.
For the morning programme, we recommend a ride on the Prater Big Wheel to get a first breathtaking overview of the city. From April to September, this already opens at 9:00 am and in the other months at 10:00 am.
Stroll through the Prater and head back in the direction of the city centre, continuing your stroll at the “Rathaus”, the City Hall. You pass through the “Burgtheater” Imperial Court Theatre and enter the “Volksgarten” gardens from where you can see the Houses of Parliament, before crossing the “Heldenplatz” square to the “Hofburg” Imperial Palace. After having crossed the Ringstraße ring road, you can see the Museums of Art History and Natural History, the Maria Theresia Monument and the Museumsquartier, one of the most hip cultural areas in the Vienna of today.
Adjourn for lunch to “Schloss Schönbrunn” Castle and stroll through the wonderful castle gardens, past the well-known zoological gardens and up to the magnificent “Gloriette” pavilion where you can enjoy lunch and the breathtaking scenery, contemplating Vienna once more from this lofty vantage point.
After due fortification, head once more in the direction of the city centre. Enjoy a shopping experience of the superior kind and explore the streets "Kärntner Straße”, “Kohlmarkt” and “Graben” – the most exclusive shopping streets in Vienna. As an alternative, you can visit the Albertina Museum with its top-class exhibitions, directly next to the Sacher.
Visit the “Sacher” afterwards for your afternoon coffee break and indulge yourself in a cup of Original Sacher coffee und piece of Original Sacher-Torte.
Get yourself ready for a glamorous evening amidst the elegant Viennese nightlife. Make the most of your individual sanctuary at the Hotel Sacher Wien, visit the Sacher Spa and prepare for the cultural highlight of your choice.
After having had dinner at the “Rote Bar”, accompanied by piano music and with a view onto the Opera House, we suggest the following options: choose between the excellent programmes of the “Staatsoper” State Opera, the “Burgtheater” Theatre, the “Raimundtheater” Theatre and the “Theater an der Wien” Theatre.
Round off the evening with a drink at the “Blaue Bar” and re-capture the images of your wonderful day in Vienna.
