Founded in 1967 by Herbert von Karajan – the event has become one of the most renowned and most exclusive festivals of the world for classical music. First-class directors, high calibre musicians and elaborate productions are the unique concept, which make the Easter Festival special.

“Everybody dance” – the 1^st Salzburg Festival Ball is becoming a new tradition of the famous Summer Festival.  Every year, starting in 2012, on the last Saturday of the season the motto will be “Everybody dance!”
