The German painter Max Ernst was one of the most influential and visionary artists of the 20th century. The Museum der Moderne now shows a selection of his graphical works.
Erwin Wurm, an internationally successful artist, shows in the current exhibition at the MdM that art and humour can be very closely related. Wurm is well-known for his sculptures/installations that use the human body as recurring motif and point of reference. Particularly with his “one minute sculptures” he succeeds in modifying the established concept of sculpture and integrating everyday objects into his installations.
